Description:The existing scheme in Ballincollig consists of a partially Combined Sewage Collection System with an Extended Aeration Activated Sludge Secondary Treatment Plant. The Wastewater Treatment Plant is now overloaded due to the rate of expansion of the town.

  • Model and Analyse the Existing Collection Systems with a view to separation of foul and storm drainage to the greatest extent practicable.
    During the course of the project the Client has extended the Brief to include the following related matters;
  • Carry out “Emergency Measures” to improve plant performance, minimise odour nuisance and improve plant security.
  • Carry out an advance contract of replacement foul and storm sewers and water mains in the streets affected by the proposed Ballincollig Green Route Contract.
